Message: wow! goosebumps! plus the fact that it was gervais...hahaha. i woke up kinda nostlagic this morning...so i played a little bit of the lotus eaters, the church and ofcourse seona dancing...i never bothered asking myself where could they be now, so i searched wikipedia. Lo and behold, this sitcom about a jerk of a boss, how could i've known that this same pudgy man in the tv is the very man that sang a generation's anthem here in manila....WOW. still reeling from the discovery...could'nt wait to tell my friends 'bout this one....hahahaha. thanks for this page, props to you!

Message: The greatest music evolved during the 80's and I'm certain that Seona Dancing was one of the artist that defined that music even for a brief period of their existence. Message: Got the 12" of Bitter Heart at a car boot for 10p about 10 years a go.The when i realised a couple of years later it was Ricky Gervais i couldnt believe it !!!!.
This band should of gone on to greater things.Maybe one day Ricky will sing a few lines from one of the songs on tv....Now that would be unreal !!!!!.

I saw something briefly on English TV last night about Ricky Gervais and Seona Dancing.
Being old enough to have been a "New Romantic" I still listen to a lot of the music that was around back then and am quite familiar with the styles of the different bands.

Message: Why do I love this band so much? Why are they so good and so terrible at the same time? Its just fascinating to see how everyone tried to have a pop career back in the 80s. The "Bitter Heart" music video reminds me of the video for Nik Kershaw's song "Wouldn't it Be Good." I like the New Romantic sound of Seona Dancing better though.

seona dancing was and still is one of my favorite new wave bands in fact i have their 2 12" single on vinyl namely more to lose & bitter heart. it's nice to know that someone cared enough to make a website dedicated to this group. more to lose was like an anthem to me during my college days and i hope ricky would consider singing that song again, you know like a new version of the song. anyways if ever get to visit the Phillipines, youll find a lot of people into new wave music. thanx tania, you made my surfing worthwhile.

Message: i love more to lose by seona dancing..there's this station here at the Philippines, Magic 89.9 that plays the late 70's, 80's and early 90's every friday..This morning they played more to lose before i requested the song & the dj told the story of seona dancing & i can't believe that the vocalist is Ricky Gervais..When i got at the office i quickly researched it through the net & found your website.. =) it's very nice of what you did for seona dancing..They are one of those good bands that didn't get to be recognized..
Anyway, hope you get to visit Philippines..=)
